Calf Liposuction

Calf Liposuction
Some characteristics are universally considered to be feminine and beautiful: a defined face, full pout, and a long, toned body. Of course, no one has a perfect body and we are often our biggest critics. We may think our hips are too wide, our torso too short, or our calves too full. It may not be noticeable to other people, but these tiny flaws can cause you to be self-conscious and may prevent you from wearing certain clothes in confidence. Fat reduction surgical options are effective in targeting areas of excess fat in localized areas of disproportion, such as the hips or calves. Calf liposuction in particular is especially appealing to women who have no discernable difference in the lower leg. Liposuction in this area is fantastic in creating definition between the calf and the ankle and to reveal toned, slender legs underneath shorts and dresses.
When patients come into our office looking for calf liposuction, Dr. David Amron performs a comprehensive evaluation during the consultation to determine whether liposuction is a viable option. In regard to surgical technique, Dr. Amron prefers to place two incision points toward the posterior lateral, knee, and two lower incision points toward the lateral ankle in order to perform a thoroughly without the risk of jabbing or poking the skin from underneath. Prior to the calf liposuction, tumescent local anesthesia is placed into the fat layer to numb the tissues but also to allow a gentler, and less bloody removal of pure fat. This also translates into faster healing and less post-operation discomfort.
Dr. Amron facilitates calf liposuction by first administering tumescent fluid (a local anesthesia) to the site. Recovery time is very brief, and patients often resume normal activities within a few days. The patient is asked to wear a compression garment and to keep their legs elevated during the recovery process to reduce or minimize instances of swelling. Calf liposuction yields excellent results and patients typically recover quickly with no complications.
Zeltiq
Dr. David Amron at Spalding Plastic Surgery is proud to introduce a new technology to his practice. Zeltiq is a new, non-surgical method of fat removal from localized areas. FDA approved for dermatologic uses, Zeltiq boasts successful results by use of cryolipolysis or controlled cooling to fat deposits as a non-invasive alternative to traditional liposuction. What makes this procedure so appealing is that it is done completely without making a single incision. Many individuals looking for fat reduction options are wary of going under the knife. Zeltiq offers substantial results with no incisions, no anesthesia, and no recovery time. Patients who have proceeded with the treatment were often able to continue daily activities the minute they leave the office.
So how does colder temperature tie into body contouring? Zeltiq takes advantage of chemistry. The Zeltiq device works by drawing fat towards the surface via suction. The cooling effect takes place and the temperature drops to the point where cell death occurs. The fat cells die and are naturally transported away from the body leaving a slimmer silhouette in its place. Results are typically manifested two to four months following the procedure – all without the use of a knife! Apoptosis, or cell death, is facilitated through the Zeltiq machine without damaging the surrounding skin, and because there are no incisions, there’s no pain during or after the procedure.
Following Zeltiq, some patients experience mild bruising, redness, or temporary numbness. These conditions are common and will subside within a month. Serious side effects have not been reported and patients typically begin to notice shrinking of the treated areas after a couple months. Bear in mind that Zeltiq is a procedure for body contouring, and is not intended as a weight loss method. It can effectively reduce fat deposits in problematic areas such as the thighs, calves, back, and abdomen and optimal body weight can be maintained through regular exercise and a healthy diet.
We are thrilled to integrate Zeltiq into our practice. If you are interested in fat reduction, but are looking for non-surgical alternatives, schedule an appointment with Dr. David Amron to see if you qualify. You can finally achieve the body you’ve always wanted.
Back Liposuction
You have an elegant evening event to attend and you have the perfect little black dress. You try it on and… it doesn’t quite fit as well as you remember. That once slinky, tight dress is now tight in all the wrong places and you see the dreaded back bulge in the mirror. Diet and exercise is not always kind to us, and weeks of eating soy bars and water still has not yielded the results you would like. You do not have to live with these body imperfections. If you have persistent back fat that remain no matter what you try, consider scheduling an appointment with Dr. David Amron for back liposuction.
The back is gravitationally prone and is wonderful for liposuction if the patient has fullness in the area. Over time, the skin begins to droop and fat begins to collect and bulge around the bra area. Dr. Amron has achieved great success in his back liposuction patients. Once droopy and full, the back can be tightened and smoothed so you can wear backless clothing in confidence. One aspect to bear in mind is how well the skin retracts after liposuction. Those who visit our office for back liposuction are already unhappy with the appearance of bulging and liposuction without addressing the skin can oftentimes worsen it. For the back area in particular, Dr. Amron uses a spatula cannula to scrape the dermis from underneath to get maximum skin tightening. This allows the skin to lift as fat is removed, so you achieve optimal results.
If you are embarrassed by excessive sagging of the back, consider a consultation with Dr. Amron to determine whether you can benefit from back liposuction.
Buttocks Liposuction
Even through rigorous workouts and squats, many people come to find that exercise does not always help eliminate small bulges of fat or a “ripply” appearance in the buttocks that persist. A backside that is dimpled and saggy can be embarrassing – especially with society’s attraction to a shaped and firm butt. Your butt is naturally inclined to be fat-concentrated to provide a fatty cushion that allows you to sit as well as maintain balance throughout the body. As a natural area for fat accumulation, a saggy, jiggly butt can remain after even the most aggressive exercise routines.
Patients who come in for buttocks liposuction often come for one of two reasons. Either they are looking to reduce the size and/or shape of their buttocks, or they are looking to create a more sculpted look. Regardless of the reasoning behind the sentiment, effective liposculpture surgery will leave your butt looking great and will accentuate your shape in pants, dresses, or skirts. If you are unhappy with the appearance of your saggy or dimply skin along your buttocks, schedule an appointment with Dr. Amron for buttocks liposuction to remove excessive fatty deposits from the area and tighten the surrounding skin to create a flawless appearance that will absolutely turn heads.
On his buttocks liposuction patients, Dr. Amron uses the smallest possible cannula to minimize trauma on the body to prevent irregularities and contouring errors commonly seen when too large a cannula is used. Dr. Amron makes a tiny incision in an inconspicuous area on the buttocks area to minimize recovery time and the appearance of scars post-surgery. The cannula is then used to melt, dissolve, and remove excessive fat from the buttocks. This surgery is often performed in tandem with a skin tightening procedure before stitches and sutures are put in place so when the body is fully recovered, a well-defined, tight backside emerges.
After your buttocks liposuction, bruising and swelling near and around the surgery is a natural occurrence. These symptoms naturally go away after a few days, but if they persist, please contact Dr. Amron right away. It is important to drink plenty of water and to refrain from exercise until your body is fully recovered. Buttocks liposuction typically takes longer to recover compared to other liposculpture surgeries since that region is very active in daily movement such as sitting, walking, and running. You should allow your body at least two weeks to recover, as not to interfere with the healing process. If you are dissatisfied with the appearance of your butt, schedule an appointment with Dr. Amron to see if buttocks liposuction is right for you.

Expert Liposuction - Liposuction Before and After

A key aspect in regard to liposuction is to have realistic expectations of liposuction before and after the surgery. Liposuction surgery is not an easy way road to weight loss. In fact, patients often only lose about two or three pounds post-liposuction. Instead, it is a medical procedure to reduce stubborn fat deposits that compromise the body’s overall proportion.
With liposuction surgery, the goal is not to aggressively remove excess fat throughout the body. Rather, experienced surgeons evaluate the patient’s body type to determine how to best approach the surgery and to provide realistic liposuction before and after expectations. While some patients may expect a significant difference in their size, the objective behind liposuction is to address disproportion in the body.
Before the surgery, the doctor will have an initial consultation with the patient to determine whether they are a good candidate for liposuction. During the surgery, the surgeon will use a cylindrical tube called a cannula to break up and remove fat from localized areas. Dr. Amron prefers to perform tumescent liposuction, which requires only a local anesthesia. This allows the patient to move, providing better access to the body for the surgeon as well as a shorter recovery time.
The patient will be able to walk after the surgery; in fact, Dr. Amron will ask the patient to go on a two mile walk to promote healing. Immediately following the surgery, the liposuction before and after may not meet the patient’s expectations. However, once the initial swelling subsides after a few days, than the fat reduction will be more noticeable. In addition, patients may still experience swelling in the first month following liposuction, but this should subside on its own. Patients will also be asked to wear compression garments for a few days to speed healing. Most patients return to work and their regular exercise routine within a few days.
